These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Splithook ("Service") operated by Splithook ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Splithook is a webhook debugging tool that captures, inspects, re-signs, and forwards HTTP webhook payloads. It is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier.
2. Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- One person may not maintain multiple free accounts. Automated account creation is prohibited.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Receive, store, or forward payloads containing personal health information (PHI) or payment card data (PCI).
- Intercept webhooks you are not authorised to receive.
- Perform denial-of-service attacks or send spam through destination forwarding.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service.
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
4. Plans and Billing
Free plan
Available at no charge with usage limits (endpoints, requests per month, retention TTL) as published on the pricing page.
Paid plans
Billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are shown in USD excluding applicable taxes (VAT may apply for EU customers).
Upgrades and downgrades
Changes take effect at the next billing cycle. Downgrading to a tier with lower limits will cause excess endpoints to become read-only.
Cancellation
Cancel at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the paid period; no partial refunds are issued.
Refund policy
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time subscriptions. Email within 14 days of first payment.
5. Data and Privacy
Webhook payload data is stored for a limited TTL (default 72 hours on free plan, configurable on paid plans) and then permanently deleted. We do not inspect payload contents for any purpose other than operating the Service. See our Privacy Policy.
6. Uptime and SLA
We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the capture endpoint (the hot path). No contractual SLA is provided on the free plan. Status and incident history are available at /status.
7. Intellectual Property
All software, design, and documentation of the Service belong to Splithook. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose.
You retain all rights to your webhook payload data.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data loss.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
Consumers in the EU retain the benefit of mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may cancel your account before the changes take effect.
