How it works

No middlemen, no payouts to arrange. Credit is applied automatically to your next invoice — nothing to do on your end.

1
Copy your unique link
Every Splithook account has a referral link — find it in your dashboard under Settings → Referrals.
2
They sign up with your code
The code can be applied at signup or at checkout. They immediately get −30% off their first month (or −15% off their first year on annual billing). You can refer as many people as you want — no limit.
3
Their first payment triggers your credit
Once Stripe confirms their first payment, a credit equal to 1 month of their plan (€9, €19 or €49) is added to your account. No credit is granted if the payment fails or is refunded.
4
Credit applies automatically
The credit is deducted from your next invoice. If it exceeds the invoice amount, the remaining balance carries over to subsequent invoices — no expiration.

Pricing FAQ

Everything you'd ask before swiping the card.

Can't find it? Email — we read every message.

What counts as a "webhook" for billing?
One billable event = one HTTP request that successfully reached our ingest tier. Retries, fan-out copies, replays, and failed deliveries are never charged twice. If a webhook hits 3 destinations and 2 fail with retries, you're billed for 1 ingestion.
What happens if I exceed my plan's quota?
We email the workspace owner at 80%, 90%, 95% and 100% of the monthly cap so you have time to upgrade before missing events. On Hobby and Developer, traffic past the cap returns 429 until the month resets. On Pro and Team, contact us to arrange overage.
Is there a free trial of paid plans?
Yes — every paid plan gets 14 days free, no credit card required to start. We send a reminder 3 days before the trial ends. You can downgrade to Hobby at any time without losing your data.
Can I switch plans mid-cycle?
Absolutely. Upgrades are prorated to the day and take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle so you keep what you paid for. Annual customers can switch tiers at any time — we credit the unused portion against the new plan.
What's the difference between Hobby and Developer besides quota?
Hobby is intentionally minimal — 1 endpoint, 24h retention, no re-signing, no schema export. Developer adds more endpoints, 7-day retention, schema inference and a custom endpoint alias. Most paying customers start on Developer and move to Pro when they need re-signing.
Why does re-signing only start on Pro?
Re-signing requires storing your provider secrets securely. Encrypting secrets at rest and running the HMAC key rotation infrastructure has a real cost, so it's a Pro feature. If you're on Developer and just want to test signatures without storing secrets, you can pass the key at replay time in the CLI.
Exactly what credit do I get as a referrer?
You receive a credit equal to 1 month of the plan your referral subscribes to: €9 for Developer, €19 for Pro, €49 for Team. The credit is granted only after Stripe confirms the first payment. If the payment fails or is refunded, no credit is issued.
What discount does my referral get?
On a monthly plan they get −30% off their first month. On an annual plan they get −15% off their first year. The code can be applied at signup or directly at checkout.
How is the credit applied to my invoice?
The credit is deducted automatically from your next Splithook invoice — no action needed on your end. If the credit exceeds the invoice amount, the remaining balance is carried over to subsequent invoices with no expiration. You can track your credit balance in real time under Settings → Referrals.
Can I refer more than one person?
Yes — there's no limit on the number of people you can refer. Each successful referral earns you a credit, and credits stack. The only restriction is self-referral, which is blocked. Refer 10 people on Pro and you'll have €190 in credit.
When should I consider a custom Enterprise plan?
Most teams reach out when one of three things is true: (1) volume above ~1M events/month makes a custom rate worthwhile, (2) compliance requires self-hosting, a HIPAA BAA or BYOK encryption, or (3) you need a 99.99% SLA with credits and a dedicated Slack channel. Talk to us — we'll quote in 48h.
Do you offer discounts for students or non-profits?
Yes — registered non-profits and accredited educational institutions get a discount on paid plans. Email with proof of status and we'll sort it out.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major cards via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) and SEPA direct debit for EU accounts on annual plans. Enterprise customers can pay by wire transfer or invoice with Net-30 terms — email to arrange it.
What's your refund policy?
30-day money-back guarantee on first-time annual plans, no questions asked. Monthly plans don't issue partial-month refunds but you can cancel anytime and won't be charged again. If we ever bill something that seems wrong, email billing and we'll sort it same day.
